Invitation for application of APASL New Awards
Dear, APASL members
It is a great pleasure to announce you that APASL will start to call for application of APASL New Awards: Named Award and Rising Star Award which will start to be included in the scientific program from APASL2019 in Manila, Philippines. Following is the information regarding the application for the awards. We are looking forward your application.
1. Named Awards (Okuda, Powell, and Omata Awards)
APASL will offer USD 5,000 for each.
<Selection Criteria for Named Awards>
Presenters will be selected based upon the following criteria
l High original scientific research and achievements in a given area of liver diseases
l Continuous Contribution to APASL Activities
l Leadership role in academics and science in the field of Hepatology
l Persons with at least ten papers in Hepatology International, including five papers with his/her name as the first or as the correspondence author will be considered
2. Rising Star Award (Five Presenters)
APASL will offer USD 2,000 for each.
<Selection Criteria for Rising Star Award>
Presenters will be selected based upon the following criteria
l Active scientific research in the field of Hepatology in process
l Willingness to contribute APASL activities
l Continuous attendance to APASL activities
l Age younger than 40 years
l Persons with at least five papers in Hepatology International, including three papers with his/her name as the first or as the correspondence author will be considered
<Schedule>
l The announcement to APASL members by APASL secretariat.
l Application submission deadline is November 30, 2018.
l Selection will take place in the APASL Steering Committee Meeting.
l The result will be notified to the awardees along with the instruction of presentation preparation in APASL 2019 Manila.
